Testimonials

"For the first time in three years we had a rainstorm and the house is bone dry! Please tell Russ he as a great company-the result of having great people, good training, and tested procedures. It took me long time to find a company, and I'm glad I kept looking until I did. I hope your company continues to demonstrate the "old world" values you spoke of when we first met. They set you apart from others and should make you all proud!"

Jeffrey Whittle – Bryn Mawr, PA

"We're pleased with the value and quality of your work. Please express appreciation to your crews. I used to work construction as an electrician, and it's obvious that you only hire real mechanics."

William Marvin – Elkins Park, PA

"As a Community Manager, I am responsible for contracting inspecting and overseeing all aspects of building maintenance. Recently, one of the communities I manage underwent roof replacements on three cluster buildings, a total of nine units. Russell Roofing was awarded the contract. Russell Roofing accomplished this work with utmost professionalism, courtesy and care. I did not receive one complaint during the time the crews were performing the replacements. The job was completed extremely efficiently and timely.

My highest recommendations go forth for the Russell Roofing team."

Janet Burgess, CAM – CSK Management – Devon, PA

"I first became involved when on the board of Trustees about four years ago. The President of the board assigned me the task of putting a committee together to evaluate what needed to be done next. As you will recall we looked far and wide for a company that had the expertise to completely restore our roof. The name of Russell Roofing surfaced along with two other companies and my committee began our due diligence to narrow it down to one. At the end of the elimination process only one remained standing and now we really had our work cut out for us. You provided us with 75 letters of references and I'll tell you we called every one of them. It took quite some time but at the end we knew we had found our Roofing Company in Russell Roofing.

I don't think we could have chosen a better contractor for the job. You certainly delivered on what you told us you would do.

We are so proud of the way our new roof and interior look. You have done an outstanding job and if there ever comes a time you need someone to speak out for your company you have my number. In Christ's love,"

Jim Dabney, Board of Trustees, Covenant Central Presbyterian Church – Williamsport, PA

"My wife and I are writing to thank you for an exceptional job. Our entire experience with Russell Roofing proved to be every bit as positive as we had hoped, and the end result is worth every penny and more."

Ross D. Goldberg and Rorie Lee - Philadelphia, PA

"Our decision to hire Russell Roofing proved to be the right one. Since our work was completed, we have dealt with other contractors and Russell Roofing remains the gold standard."

Drew Tucker - Ardmore, PA

"The level of craftsmanship on the roofing, flashing and siding installed is first class, the kind of work I look for on my Commercial projects. What was unusual was the diligent cleanup not only at the end of the job but after each day's work."

Emanuel Rider, R.A.- Philadelphia, PA

"My roof is an investment, and my investment in using Russell Roofing has definitely paid off!"

Janis B. Vacca

"Russell Roofing Company met and often exceeded our expectations. I was particularly pleased with the attention to safety while workers were on site, as well as the condition of the property each evening when workers went home. And a very important fact, the roof copper work looked great!"

Joan McCabe Myers, Executive Director of the Mary J. Drexel Home - Bala Cynwyd, PA

"From the receptionist's pleasant greeting and our initial contact with your Estimator to the finalizing touches by your Foreman, we were impressed by the professional and businesslike nature of our experience. We thank you for all your hard work and want you to know how much we are enjoying the updated appearance of our home!"

Bill and Linda Gustafson - Wyncote, PA

"We are so pleased with the final results. When we anticipated the immensity of this job, we were so delighted at how painless your roofing staff made this. They were friendly, prompt and worked so efficiently, that we were surprised at how quickly the job had been completed. You've given us a 'new' house."

Mr. & Mrs. Harvey T. Steiner - Jenkintown, PA

"The Russell Roofing Company came to our rescue. They worked closely with all concerned parties and guided by their foreman, developed a remarkable good design. Then they executed that design, displaying outstanding workmanship. The foreman and his crew were highly professional and skilled. The estimator, specified 20 ounce copper which made for a marvelous job but took its toll on this crew, as daily they were crimping many yards of those stout seams.

As the work commenced, the expertise of the Russell artisans was obvious to all, and there role in the project was expanded by the general contractor. Eventually, this excellent crew was called upon to provide carefully crafted copper soffits louvers, flashings and moldings."

Scott L. Strohm, Pastor - Rutledge, PA

"It is not often that we feel strongly enough about a company to write a letter of reference. However, the service that Mt. Sinai Tabernacle Baptist Church received from your company has been remarkable. All of your employees have been courteous, reliable and expeditious. We appreciated you and your company's professional attitude and workmanship."

Rev. Samuel R. Spencer Montgomery, SR., Pastor Trustee Willis Erwin, Chairman of the Building Fund – Philadelphia, PA

“My wife and I would like to commend you for a job well done in the installation of our newly replaced roof. While enduring rather adverse weather conditions, your men started and complete the job on schedule, and they were meticulous in their installation of the shingles and copper flashing. There were also careful while working around and about our garden areas. Please give our thanks to Cory Rutter, Dick Ehnts, Mike DeWitt, Terrel and the entire crew.”

Carey V. Rowan - Philadelphia, PA

“You folks were great! I had an emergency and you responded. You many not be the least expensive, but you will have my future business. You earned it!”

Dan Hoffman – Philadelphia, PA

“Thank you and all of Russell Roofing for the outstanding job you did on our roof. Our willingness to turn the entire house over to your firm (inside and out!) while we took a long-overdue vacation speaks volumes to what I find so good about your firm. We returned to find not a stone altered, and a brand new roof in place where our old mess had been! Your crew was more like a team of “Surgeons” than roofers!! You know, normally I would never think of putter the terms “roofers” and “high class” in the same sentence, but with Russell Roofing, those two fit together just fine. From sales (Sandy Pickard) through delivery, Russell Roofing did a splendid job, and we felt safe and secure throughout. I saw only the very best that I would want to see in construction workmanship”

William E. Dewart, Ph.D.

“My wife and I wish to thank you and your staff for a job well done on re-roofing our home and installing the “Old World” copper gutter system.

Our experience with your company was superb from the first meeting with Sandy Pickard, who spent three hours on a Saturday afternoon, explaining the various options we had in restoring our roof and replacing our box gutters with hanging gutters. Of primary importance to us was that Russell Roofing was able to provide us with their own carpenters to complete the necessary comprehensive wood working services which were required prior to applying the new asphalt shingles and “Old World” copper gutter system. It was obvious to us that Sandy had many years in the roofing field to help us make the correct decisions to achieve a superb result.

A particular highlight in our experience with Russell Roofing was the roofing crew of Paul and his co-workers. Now there is a group that works together like a well-oiled machine, or better still, a symphony orchestra! Each individual worked in close coordination with his co-workers, completing each day’s job with seamless efficiency. We saw this crew constantly working very had and taking obvious pride in their workmanship.

In conclusion, we are extremely satisfied with our new roof and “Old World” copper gutter system. Your company enjoys an exceptional reputation and our experience has exceeded our expectations.”

James A. Tatoian, Jr., D.D.S. – Haverford, PA

“Russell Roofing replaced my roof in early 2004 and I was completely satisfied with the whole experience from proposal to final cleanup. I would like compliment you again on the service I received the, and now on service I just received from Rick Rhodes today.

I had some gutter problems for which I needed advice and subsequent service. I had asked several contractors to come out but decided to go with you because you had done the roof and I trusted your judgment with respect to the drainage issues.

It turns out that Rick made the necessary corrections to the gutters and drains on the spot, and cleaned out the gutters at the same time as a customer courtesy. For him, it apparently was not a very difficult job. He was done in less than an hour and left me some good advice.

I appreciate not only what Rick did, but how de did it – professionally and expediently. I really hadn’t expected to have the work done today but it is nowcompleted. He was genuinely concerned about the issues I had and acted accordingly. He is a good spokesman for your business and he left a very satisfied customer here.

I appreciate this courtesy Russell Roofing has extended, especially since, having come off some serious surgery, I can’t do many of the routine maintenance things I used to do. I should add that my total experience with Russell has been nothing less than excellent and I would recommend you without reservation.”

Harry Goldbacher – North Wales, PA

“I just wanted to tell you how happy I am that I called Russell Roofing to do my roof this year. As luck would have it, it seems that as soon as they finished, that’s when were hit with all those rain storms. I found myself looking up at the roof, waiting to see the shingles blowing away but I was never disappointed. We had so much rain this year I know I would have been in trouble if I hadn’t had my roof done and they did such as excellent job. I had a fiend of mine who is a roofer, but couldn’t do my roof because of the steepness, go up and check and he said they did a good job. Every time it rains I thank God I had Russell Roofing do my job and not Home Depot.”

Linda A. Lodise – Philadelphia, PA

“Please be advised that we are very happy with our slate roofing tile repairs and newly hung gutters. Your workmen were prompt, courteous, and cleaned up behind themselves. I spoke with our neighbor in the back, whose property had to be used to access the garage roof repair, and he had no complaints. Two other neighbors, I understand, have requested quotes.

Ron Hall was the supervisor on our job. He has listened to our concerns and worked to find the right answers to our problems. He was prompt in keeping his appointments for the estimate and in getting the contract to us. He followed the work, calling us frequently to keep us updated on progress. He was pleasant, courteous, and accommodating. We could not have asked for a better manager.

We are very pleased with every aspect of the Russell Roofing job on our house and garage. Russell is know for fine roof and gutter repairs and we were satisfied to wait the few weeks it took for them to get to us. The fine workmanship and professionalism are worth it.

Thank you. Russell Roofing is first on our list for roof and gutter repairs.”

Mr. & Mrs. Michael Heinsdorf – Philadelphia, PA

“Russell Roofing Project manager, Ron hall, worked on my slate roof in March 2007. I have worked with Russell Roofing for many years and had several projects successfully completed by them. (Slate roofs usually have bi-yearly maintenance.) Ron Hall stands out, however, as taking the time to understand my overall needs. He suggested sever alternate plans, each with pros and cons. This enabled me to select the plan that best fitted my current situation.

These options presented by Ron have further enhanced my high option of the quality of work done by Russell Roofing. The work was successfully completed, on time, with minimal requirements for my presence.”

Penny (Margery) C. Robertson – Wyndmoor, PA

“Please share this not of appreciation to Russell Roofing president and Ron Hall’s supervisor.

Several years ago we had work done by your company and today, as a follow-up, Ron Hall did an assessment of our roof. Ron arrived with a warm greeting and printed information about your company. After examining the roof, he thoroughly reviewed the pictures and explained the roof status. Although we are not in need of immediate roof replacement, he made me aware of the near future likelihood. His explanations were very helpful.

I was very impressed with Ron’s integrity, knowledge, and courtesy. I think Ron is one of the most professional contractors I’ve ever encountered. He is an asset to Russell Roofing and I will be referring to your company.”

Mary Beth Cohen – Abington, PA

“Thank you for being more than patient. We kept putting the job off. We appreciate Kevin and his professionalism.”

Chris Pisarcik – Blue Bell, PA

“Your company is currently installing anew roof on our buildings…in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. The work has not bee completed, but that does not prevent our expressing the confidence we have in it being a well-done job.

Before the men could even begin, they were confronted with years and years of patch repairs. In one area, they had the task of removing seven roofs. The weather can be very unpredictable at this time of years so clear skies are important in the roofing business. Your men took complete advantage of those good days by arriving early in the morning - by 7:00 a.m.- and continuing until quitting time at 4:00. They worked steadily, stopped briefly for lunch and no one ever witnessed their slacking off.

Sometimes in business relations there are people you must deal with who you could care less if you ever saw them again. But your employees who we have come in contact with, Sal, your project manager, and your roofers, Jim, Mark, Michael and Bill, are people you feel you would like to know for the rest of your life. They is no doubt their sincere goal is to gain a satisfied customer.

Thank you, Russell Roofing, for making it possible for me to exhale when it rains for being able to say ‘no more buckets!’”

Richard T. Stonewall, Sr., Pastor – Maranatha Evangelistic Temple Church, Coatesville, PA

“First impressions are lasting ones and the goal of any businessperson is to sell their product of service. That is why through the efforts of Mr. Sal DePrisco, your Project manager, I became on of your customers. When he cam to give me an estimate his primary goal may have been to make a sale, but he made me feel as though my well-being and satisfaction were foremost in importance.

But my overall good experience with your company began with your customer relations department. I called your office on a Saturday and with the office being closed I got your answering machine that instructs callers to leave a message and you’ll get back to them. The next Monday I got a return call and we made the appointment for Mr. DePrisco to take a look at my roof. I was so happy to have someone call me back because this was a process I had gone through for the past year, but for reasons unknown to me, was unable to get end results – a new roof! I called companies I had been referred to, companies from the yellow pages and companies I saw working in the neighborhoods. I would set appointments and the people never showed. I would leave messages and get no response. I even accepted one company’s proposal, set a date for them to do the work, and they never came!

I did get a few estimates and they were lower than your company’s. But I’m completely satisfied with everything Russell Roofing has delivered. Your customer relations staff was always courteous and helpful. Once you make your selection from the telephone menu you get a prompt response from an actual person. My neighbor was so impressed by your workers and the timeliness in which they did their job that she said she would be contacting your company for work that she needs done. And I just can’t say enough about Mr. DePrisco. During our initial meeting, he took his time explaining, in terms I could understand, what needed to be done and why. I could count on him being there whenever we set a time to meet. The flashing on my chimney was completely gone and he showed me the pictures he’d taken. This critical information was never brought to my attention or mentioned in the other estimates. Faced with this unforeseen problem he helped me find someone who could repair the chimney. Mr. DePrisco is an invaluable asset to your company.

I suppose I would still be getting frustrated in trying to locate a roofer if I had not contacted Home Depot. The gentleman who came to give me an estimated explained they could not give me a roof because my house does not have a firewall. He gave me the names of two companies that do that kind of work and Russell Roofing was one of them. I thank the Lord for what turned out to be one of the best referrals I’ve ever gotten.

Cordelia B. Taylor – West Chester, PA

“We had the good fortune of selecting Russell Roofing as our contractor to replace our roof which had deteriorated to a poor condition. Our selection was based on their excellent credentials and our friend’s recommendation.

We found the their organization well organized to do a major job like ours, they have the personnel to do the work properly, they are very professional, timely and they kept their schedule as promised (weather permitting). They covered the bushes and the lawn clear while they were at work.

We found their project manager, Mr. Sal DePrisco to be extremely helpful and very efficient and he always completed what was promised on the contract on time.

Based on our satisfaction of their work, we have no hesitation to recommend Russell Roofing to anyone who requires their services.”

Perry S. Venkatesan – Princeton, N.J.

“I wanted to let you know how pleased my husband and I are with the work that was done by Alex and his crew. They came to our home, had to pull off numerous old roofs, install our new 3-layer roof, and all this in extreme heat and humidity. They were polite, friendly and professional at all times. Many thanks to Alex and his crew for a job very well done!

We used your company 12 years ago for our kitchen roof and were happy to call you again. We will also be very happy to refer your company to any of our friends or family who may need your service.”

Sandra Radaszewski – Conshohocken, PA

“I realize most people don’t think about their roof unless it leaks, so I’m wiring to tell you how pleased we are with the job Russell recently did on the hyphen section of Upsala. The job was a relatively small one by commercial roofing standards, but the product we received was outstanding. Our architect said, and I quote, that he is “EXTREMELY pleased with the quality of the re-roofing work by Russell Roofing….especially the complete refabrication and replacement of the built-in, raised pole gutters. The workmanship on this custom fitted metal work is artisan in quality and I will photogram [it] for my students.” Russell employees Mike DeWitt and Greg Grosso deserve much of the credit for this work.

Two other points are worth noting. Supervisor Dick Ehnts and Foreman Mike DeWitt did an excellent job keeping us informed about the progress of the job, new developments and change orders, and other things we might want to know about the building. I look forward to working with both of them again. Finally, Mike DeWitt took our concerns about fire safety seriously, and quickly made us confident he would take every stop possible to protect our building and its place on the national Historic Register.

Please share these kudos with each of the people I’ve mentioned, and with anyone else who will bring them fame and glory.”

Phillip Seitz, Curator of History, Cliveden of the National Trust – Philadelphia, PA

“I am writing this letter to express my heart felt appreciation to the roofing craftsman who so diligently worked through the cold, snow, and rain this past winter and early spring to complete the renovation and installation of the slate roof and copper trim at Keystone Hospice.

My sincere thanks are extended to all the roofers who worked on our renovation project and patiently accepted my input and changes as the work progressed. The attention to detail and manner in which work was done took this job from a roofing project to a work of art. Further, I am so impressed by the sensitivity and respect shown to our staff who work here and the patients who live their final days at Keystone Hospice.

I am still in awe how our beloved old mansion absolutely shines in the sunlight. The new roof and extensive rebuilding of the wood and copper trim has once again made our House the show place I am sure it was when it was first building 18967.

Jeff, you have a great group of guys and I am pleased to recommend your company and employees to other homeowners planning a renovation of a historic building.”

Gail A. Inderwies, RN, BSN, MBA, CHPNA, President and Executive Director, Keystone Hospice – Wyndmoor, PA

“It is both a privilege and a pleasure to write a letter of referral for Russell Roofing. As the person who dealt with your representatives for a large part of the work you did for us at Mount Saint Joseph, I can clearly say that my dealings with your company representative were most professional. They were courteous, accommodating and always available when there was a question or concern. Jeff and Steve were excellent at handing the job here. Our needs were respected and the end result always acceptable. Indeed, they and your company deserve to be commended.”

S.. Jeannemarie Jordan, SSJ Office Manager-Aramark Corp., Mount Saint Joseph Convent – Philadelphia, PA

“Our parents, my husband, and I are very grateful to you and to Russell Roofing. You and other representative from the company have successfully repaired roofing problems to our homes that other contractors were unable to diagnose and/or successfully repair.

The Russell Roofing technicians who evaluated and repaired our roofs were always courteous, timely, and maintained the cleanliness and integrity of our properties. They also worked efficiently, effectively and were very thoughtful in how they approached the respective jobs to insure their success.

Please know how much we appreciate the expertise and professionalism that Russell Roofing provides.”

Maria Pappas – King of Prussia, PA

“I am writing to tell you what pleasure it was to have Bill Kulp and his crew – Tom, Victor, and Jimmy – working on our roof.

As they will tell you, this was a job where every step turned up a new unforeseen problem. It took flexibility, patience, and skill to make a good job of this, and it didn’t hurt to have a well-organized company behind them.

The results look really nice and solid. Quite a transformation!

My wife commented more than once that the crew seemed genuinely to enjoy working together. In my experience, this is another strong sign of a well-run company.”

John Ewing – Philadelphia, PA

I am writing this letter of recommendation fro Kevin Creighton, who works for Russell Roofing, and who was the manager for our roofing job. I contracted with Russell Roofing for the repair of the roofs on my 3 adjoining homes in West Philadelphia. Kevin thoroughly documented with photos the areas of concern in my roofs. Each house was built in 1898 and has a slate front with copper valleys, a flat top room, a front porch and back porch roof, and 3 bays on the 3rd floor. Each house also had 2 chimneys. Kevin was here throughout the job and helped in the coordination of the job with the masons, the slate crews, the flat roof crews, and the carpenter who also did historic repairs to our front porch roof’s which had been a chronic problem with drainage and leakage, even with several prior attempts at repair. Kevin gave me good referrals for the needed scaffolding, masonry, painting, and carpentry with people who did excellent and efficient work. He documented the progress with photographs at intervals and was a good coordinator and communicator with all involved through out the time it took to complete this large job. His estimates of the costs were closed and the added roofing costs were not substantial, although some of the other repairs such as carpentry to restore the porch roofs to the original design with correct drainage did amount to substantial amounts. My wife and I have been pleased with the quality of the work, and the attention to the original detail. At the end of the project the houses look as though they are in their original form, and we have a house that is fully leak proof with the infrastructure being rebuilt as needed and our roofs will be in good shape for many years to come. I can recommend Russell Roofing without qualification as a company that does excellent, and historical work. I can also recommend Kevin Creighton as a person who is easy to work with, and who is very helpful in coordinating the overall job with the different aspects that were needed to have the roof completed and also repair, and repaint as needed. This was especially helpful to me as I have a job with long hours which precluded me from doing many of the details needed during working hours.

Chip Staddon – Philadelphia, PA

“When our roof needed replacement, we interviewed a number of roofing companies. Russell Roofing submitted the highest bid. I am in the property management business, and normally when I solicit bids, my experience shows that the high bidder is less interested in the job and the low bidder will typically look to cut corners when doing the work. So I usually focus on the bids in the middle. When my wife and I decided to replace our own roof we wanted exceptional workmanship, materials and attention to detail. Of the bidder estimators, Vince Hee stood out. He was the only one who went up into the attic to inspect the roof structure and discuss the importance (and method of installing) roof deck ventilation. He was the only one to discuss the importance of hand nailing. He reviewed gutter and downspout options and made helpful suggestions about the best style and most durable design for our home. He was attentive to our concerns about managing the massive amount of debris resulting from removing up to three layers of roofing material and protecting our landscaping. We were impressed, and asked our architect friends who did high end work for their opinions. They were uniformly positive.

So we accepted the highest bid. Dick Enhts arrived and proved to be as impressive as Vince. He directed the setup of dumpsters and material efficiently. I was impressed that you used five ply (rather than the typical three ply) plywood sheathing. As the job progressed, Dick communicated well and was responsive to our needs and concerns. Mindy and his crew displayed a superhuman work ethic, moving much faster than we expected while doing an excellent job, and we really appreciate the beautiful job they did on the copper flashing work. Rich Bennett and his crew met our high expectations for the copper gutter and downspout work admirably. Their skill and attention to detail are remarkable. As they proceeded with the work my wife and I felt that they weren’t really installing gutters-they were installing jewelry on our house.

I owned a custom furniture business for over a decade and taught woodworking to sculptors and architects at the Graduate School of Fine Art at the University of Pennsylvania during that period. My students often asked about craftsmanship, and I always told them that attention to detail is the soul of craftsmanship. My wife and I offer our thanks, compliments and appreciation to all the Russell Roofing craftsmen who have made our house a showplace. The work was expensive. And worth every penny.”

“We want to let you know how much we appreciate the prompt, courteous and professional manner in which your workers Ron Reilly and his assistant Jessie performed at our home in Blue Bell. We are preparing the house for sale, and unexpectedly, developed a leak at the base of a chimney, difficult to locate and repair. They found the problem readily, and with enthusiasm reported how they would fix it, and did so in a timely fashion, creating no fuss or muss. The completed job appears excellent. They reported work exactly when they said they would, and actually were a few minutes early for the 7:30am start time. They are proud of their work, and of working for Russell Roofing.

We have a house with a lot of roof, and Jeff Biel has advised us through some difficult projects here with success. We admire and respect his style and abilities.

We just wanted you to know that we think your company is tops.

Karen W. Fox – Blue Bell, PA

First let me apologize for taking so very long to write this letter of appreciation. This past spring The Russell Roofing craftsmen re-sided a large dormer and reroofed the surrounding area of my house.

This area of our roof had been plagued by a troublesome and hard-to-find leak for the 7 or so years that we’ve owned our home. My former roofer tried again and again to find and fix the leak. We’d think the problem was fixed, only to have it recur in the next heavy rain. (This explains why I’ve taken so long to write. I needed to wait for several heavy rains.)

Well, you men solved the problem. From start to finish, Dave Mitchell, Frank Dietz, and their team performed their work as true craftsmen and professionals. From the moment I called Russell Roofing and got a live person on the other end and was actually to make an appointment for an estimate, I knew I had chosen the right company.

The work was performed earlier than promised, and it was executed with extraordinary care, precision, and customer service. When I had a questions about some moisture from a previous rain (before the work was done), your men went the extra mile to help assure us that the problem was solved, and they even went so far as to remove some damp insulation fro us when I wasn’t home.

Russell Roofing has quite literally been the answer to my prayers. Now when I hear a forecast of rain, I can be confident that my roof has finally – after all these years and countless unsuccessful repairs by my former roofer – been redone properly.

Thank you so much for running the king of company that you do. And special thanks to Frank and Dave, who provided such outstanding workmanship and customer care! You’ve earned a customer for years to come.”

Lee Henderson – Elkins Park, PA

“Thank you for a job very well done. From the start of this project with our first visit from Tino, everything was handled with great professionalism. Tino was wonderful and he helped us to understand the whole process. He really sold us on your company. The workmen were amazing. We have never seen people work so hard or so long. They were friendly and polite and very respectful of us. Dick Ehnts was a real pleasure to talk to and kept us informed about the work. In a world where no one seems to do anything right, your people and company are a real breath of fresh air. We will tell all our fiends and family about you.”

Patricia A. Bacon – Glenside, PA

This is a letter of commendation for the workmen and supervisors of Russell Roofing in planning, installing and cleaning up involved in the work on our home in Philadelphia. The work included removal of old siding and installing new siding on an addition to our home in addition to removing layers of prior years of flat roofing and ineffective repairs, then installed new roofing to solve a long standing drainage and leaking problem.

The installation of siding also required repairing damaged and rotted sheathing and lumber below old window and capping newly installed vinyl windows which had not been properly capped by another company. Dick Ehnts, the supervisor on the installation, was extraordinary in the planning and skill required by the job, particularly the repair of the rotted portions of the addition. The crew itself was courteous, efficient, worked well together and complete the job quickly and effectively and did an excellent clean up.

The flat roof crew also performed in a similar fashion. The pre-installation diagnosis of our prior leaking and drainage problems and the careful planning by engineers resulted in an installation designed that was executed very well by the installers. We’ve been assured that future leaks in the new roof will be repaired without question by Russell Roofing.

I am not an expert in these matters but would be hard to imagine any other roofing or construction company doing our job as well and efficiently. From beginning to end, we were very impressed by Russell Roofing personnel, materials and work.”

Theodore W. Loder – Philadelphia, PA

“Initial contact with your company was prompted by your listing on the National Slater’s Association website. Out of frustration with un-responsiveness of the roofer with whom we had contracted for some previous work, I turned to that listing as a starting point to begin the search process once again. Of the three companies who responded to my inquiries with a quote, your response was, by far, the most professional. The willingness of your staff (Sandy) to discuss in any detail I desired, my concerns about the job, the careful survey work, the preparation of recommendations for how to address each aspect of the job (slate, decking, downspouts, gutter), along with viable alternatives and the detailed proposal (all of these stood out from your competitors) convinced me to choose your company.

I have to say that this is (as I write this, the flat roof crew has started ripping up a portion of the solarium roof) the biggest (certainly the costliest) home project with which I have been involved. There is a significant level of anxiety associated with the decision to go ahead with the project and over the choice of company to carry out the project. I am happy to report that, as the project progressed, that anxiety was quickly relieved as I interacted with, and saw the results of, our crew(s). Mike, Bill, Louis and Caesar displayed the highest level of professionalism of any roofing crew with which I have dealt. Their willingness, on a daily basis, to discuss the details of the work, to express their own concerns about necessary repairs, their positive attitude in listening to my concerns (and promptly addressing them), their no-nonsense attitude toward doing the work and, in general, the attention to detail which produced thorough, complete, high-quality results served to build a considerable level of comfort in my choice. Plus, they are all nice guys.

Presuming that attitude and ethic flows from the top, I must also include Steve Steinberg, as the project supervisor, as one of those responsible for the fine outcome of this part of the project. By logical extension, the administrative members of your company should also share credit.

The flat-roof phase of the project is just starting, but based on recent experience and after talking with Paul, Jeff, Erie and again Louis (he really likes this house), I believe the results will be of a similar quality as the previous slate and copper work.
